Transforming Lives on the Streets of Nairobi - Africa

Empowering Nairobi’s street youth with unwavering outreach, essential support, and pathways. Street Friends of Africa turns isolation into community, one trusted connection at a time.

Outreach & Trust Building

Every Saturday, our team meets street youth to offer hot meals, first aid, and genuine connection. Through consistent presence, we build trust, hope, and a sense of belonging. This outreach opens the door to healing, mentorship, and pathways toward a brighter future.

Education

Through 6-month, passion-aligned courses in tailoring, mechanics, or hairdressing, we equip street youth with practical skills, hands-on apprenticeships, and real-world exposure. This journey builds confidence, independence, and sustainable livelihoods, empowering graduates to become change-makers in their communities.

Healing

Through trauma-focused group and individual sessions, art therapy, play-based expression, and mindfulness, we provide a safe space for street youth to recover and rebuild emotional strength. Our compassionate mid-week circles help mend wounded spirits, restore confidence, and inspire youth to embrace healing and step toward brighter futures.

Testimonials

"Before Street Friends of Africa, the streets were my only home cold, scary, and endless. Mary's team showed up every weekend, shared meals, and really listened. They helped me find my family after years apart, and now I'm in school dreaming of being a mechanic. These aren't just helpers; they're family who believed in me when I couldn't."
JACTON KITUI
"Volunteering with Street Friends has been life-changing. Witnessing skeptical kids open up over Saturday chats at Michuki Park, then seeing 10 reunions happen it's pure magic. Their compassion and focus on real empowerment inspire me to give more. If you're passionate about youth, join this crew; the impact is immediate and forever."
DUSHMAN ABDALA
"When my son vanished to the streets, hope faded fast. But Street Friends of Africa's outreach brought him back patient visits, honest chats, and a reunion that mended our broken hearts. Their dedication to real change, not handouts, restored my boy. I'm forever thankful for their compassionate bridge-building."
